I'm with you... It's the REASON I got this unit and I have Android 7.1.1. 7's been out for a while now, there should be a solution by now.

Same - I'm on andriod 7.0, but I have been informed by Pumpkin customer support that anything below 7.0 will work, so I'm going to roll back my OS to 6.0 marshmallow.

If its a samsung andriod phone, then you can. I rolled my Samasung Galaxy S7 back to Marshmallow (6.0.1) and it now works great with my headset - I can even use mirror mode via wifi and controll my phone via the pumpkin unit.

It doesn't seem to work with 7.1.1 I'll keep watching for the updates I guess. I have a Pixel... Can't go backwards to 6.x.
