Issues with builtin 3g on RQ0278E

Hi,

we recently purchased a RQ0278E via autopumpkin (order number is 500001905).

However we're having problem getting the internal 3g to work.
We have placed a SIM card in the adapter cable and the radio seems to detect the SIM card, but it doesn't get any cellular service.
Any ideas what's wrong there?

Hi,
For the 3G function, please first make sure you got the right 3G WCDMA sim card from your local.
When you wan to connect the internet at the first time, it may take 3-5 minutes to connect.

Hi,

the SIM card works fine in other devices, so I think the SIM card itself is ok.

Is there an updated firmware for the device available? Because the device is also forgetting some of it's settings like internet tethering via bluetooth.

Sorry for these bad experience brought to you.
The update firmware is still under testing, we will get it before this weekend.
Hope you can wait for a few days to solve the 3G and memory issue.

Iam having the same problem is not even recognized my sim I just purchase my radio month ago and in two days I install it
All other function works fine beside my sim and issue with my
External mic when I disconnected the build machine n my c works fine when I installed the external it stops
Any solution please

3G sim,
I use it in my huntting cam wireless works very well
The problem seems to be an issue with the radio it self
I purchase it a month ago but I have installed it few days ago

Hi,
Sorry for the trouble caused.
For the 3G sim issue, please install the below update firmware and mcu, they will help you solve the problem.

Please download both the firmware and mcu through your browser, just copy the file into an empty (micro)SD card, make sure the file is in root of the card.(ie, when you open the card, the file is directly located there)

Then please insert the sd card with the firmware file and mcu into the GPS slot.
The unit will recognize the update firmware automatically and pop out a dialog, choose "wipe data and format flash", then click Install, the unit will finish the update after a few minutes
After the firmware updating, then go to the settings--about tablet to click MCU update.

For the external mic issue, sorry, i don't quite understand, could you please tell us more details, if possible, hope you can provide a video to help us check. We will try to provide you positive solution.

i update both fies helps with external mic but no sucess to find my 3g sim
if possible send me other usb wire where the the sim fit because is not reconized at all
to me could be deffective.
