Hi there,

I purchased the Pumpkin 8, Android 5.1 Head Unit for VW Jetta / Gold etc from amazon - order no 202-8960268-5131553

The unit is connected with Canbus power lead in a 2006 VW Jetta Diesel and powers off and on correctly when I turn key, however the unit is still draining the car battery, battery is dead in the morning after leaving car overnight.

In addition to this I have the following problems ...

1. Unit slow especially just after booting
2. Issues with google play

Various other glitches which I believe are resolved with firmware update.


Can you please assist.

Did the unit turn off automatically when you pull out the key?

Yes - the unit did turn off automatically when the key is removed.

Could you please tell us the if you had installed the firmware and it did help or not?
The canbus box come with the power cable maybe broken or not compatible.
If you don't mind, we can send you another Canbus box.
