touch screen stopped working KD-C0109

Hi purchased what I believe is a KD-C0109 from Ebay (7" Single Din Android 5.1 Quad-Core Car DVD Player Radio GPS OBD2 Mirror Link 3G) from ebay ( from ebay seller e-coolsupermarkets2015) last year. A few months ago the system was doing an app update and seemed to have run out of internal memory during the update. It then just kept failing to start up. So my not so clever idea was to use the firmware in this link viewtopic.php?f=20&t=942&p=3757&hilit=KD+C0109+screen#p3757 . This got the unit back alive, however the firmware was android 4.4 and the touch screen didn't work. I can use the unit via a mouse, but that defeats the point of the unit. Does anyone have any suggestions of the correct firmware including the hardware drivers , as I assume I can't now return the unit as i have changed the firmware myself.

I can use the device, but only the bluetooth which sux as I bought this especially for Waze and Spotify .

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you

Hi,
The firnware is suit for KD-C0109.
So please check the model number of your unit.You can find it on the packaging box surface or on the unit surface.
If not ,Could you tell us the order number or buyer id?

Hi,

I no longer have the box, and I put the ebay seller id in my previous post. I have the manual , but it doesn't have the product id. I will need to remov the unit from my car to get to the product id on the unit

so sorry for the late reply.

After insert the SD card with firmware file, long press the power button and then use a thin stick stick the RST hole.when you see the screen light up,loosen the power button and short press it agian and you will see the update page.

Thanks for the file however , 2 things:

1. The Firmware was Android 4.4, the unit had 5.1 when I got it
2. The touch screen still didn't work
