CN03-03101B-US-A head unit won`t turn on
Hi! I mounted my new CN03-03101B-US-A head unit a few days ago, and everything worked ok. Though I noticed that the radio turned off after a few minutes when the engine was not running (the key in the position before ignition). I think it was ok when the engine was running, but I have only driven for a short test drive, so I`m not sure. Today the head unit is dead, I can`t turn it on at all. I pulled it out, and the fuse is ok. The power is ok, mounted the old Skoda head unit to check.
Re: CN03-03101B-US-A head unit won`t turn on
I have now found some threads regarding this issue. If I turn on DIP-SW #3 the HU turns on again! I have no longer any CANBUS information, like open door, or park sensors, and the HU can be turned on and off with the power-button regardless of position of the ignition key. Is it the HU that is the problem, or is it the car?

Hi,
For the starting up problem, you can try to cut off the red wire and connect it to the positive pole of the cigarette lighter.Besides, turn off the NO.3 microswitch,or you can't use canbus.

Red wire going into the big connector?
Re: CN03-03101B-US-A head unit won`t turn on
I think my cigarette lighter is powered with the ignition off. Which red wire do you mean to cut? I think there is a wire called ACC+ on one of the breakout cables, can this be used?
Re: CN03-03101B-US-A head unit won`t turn on
Hi,
I mean you can try to cut off the red wire called ACC+ and connect it to the 12V+ power connector such as the positive hole of the cigarette lighter.
Regards.

Both pin 15 (B+) and pin 16 (ACC) in the original 40-pin connector is constantly powered, regardless of the position of the key. Also powered with the key removed. Both wires are red with a white strip. There is one red wire, but this is pin 3, labelled FR+ There is a 6-pin plug with wires on the back of the HU, where there is a yellow wire labelled B+, and a red labelled ACC. (There are several other wires as well). The yellow has 12V when the radio is on, do not remember if it has 12V with the radio off. The red has no voltage, radio on/off. What is the purpose of these wires?

Re: CN03-03101B-US-A head unit won`t turn on
Hi! Unfortunately it didnt work. The HU turned on with #3 dip switch off, but no canbus decoding. I notice that there is a small "reset" Hole on the front at the lower right. Is it any point to push "reset"? I think there must be something wrong with the HU. As I told before, the canbus decoding worked the first two or three days. Why would it suddenly stop working?

Hi,
Now we still can't confirm the CANBUS is broken.
Could you tell us your car model number and years and take a picture of your original car connector?
Our technicians try to help you solve the problem further.
