Hi,
I purchased and installed this headunit:
http://www.autopumpkin.com/pumpkin-7-10 ... amera.html
It has been going well so far, however I noticed that it seemed laggy on some items. After a bit more experimenting, I found that my touch was not registering in a certain area. I decided to download a touchscreen test app, and I found that there is a thick bar through the upper part of the screen where no touch is registered. See attachment below.
This seems to be a hardware issue, can you please give your opinion? If it is faulty hardware I will need to initiate warranty/replacement proceedings (it was purchased in November last year).
Thanks
Clay

Re: Seemingly faulty touchscreen on Pumpkin 7"
Finally got around to trying it, unfortunately it did not fix the problem so looks like faulty touchscreen.
1) Download new FW
2) Copied to USB
3) Entered recovery mode
4) Chose 'install image from USB and clear all'
5) Install was successful and rebooted
6) 'Upgrading apps' step occured (approx 5 mins for 117 apps)
7) Checked version (see pic below)
8) Touchscreen test was still failed in the same place (see pic below)
Can you please advise the best way to get a new touchscreen?
Thanks

Re: Seemingly faulty touchscreen on Pumpkin 7"
Also for those trying to find out how to enter recovery mode on this unit:
1) Hold in pinhole 'reset' button with a toothpick or other
2) Turn on car
3) Continue to hold until the 'Android' logo disappears from the screen, then release
4) Recovery mode will start
5) Pinhole reset button is the only button that will do anything
- Single press to go down
- Long press to make selection
Cheers
