RQ0278E firmware update / problems to solve

Hi,

I just bought the RQ0278E from Amazon and I am looking for a firmware update to solve a couple of problems:

First, the DVR is giving my many distortions in the Video (live and recording). I already replaced the camera (Pumpkin Y0020) with a new one but still the same distortions. I presume an update will fix this?

Second, some of my app icons are duplicates on the home screen. I just can uninstall the whole app, not remove duplicate icons.

Third, a brightness setting for when I switch on my car lights (illumination) would be nice. The display dims, but having it a little bit dimmer would be nice.

Hi,
could you first tell me your order number or buyer id?
For the DVR problem,since there are similar problem happen before and the problem can't be solved perfectly,so the unit we are selling now don't support DVR function.Did you falshed the unit?
For the icon copy problem,the factory technicians are trying to solve it.Please wait for few days.
For the brightness problem,you can turn down the lightness in the setting page.So when you turn on the car light,the brightness will become more dim.

Order id? I got it from Amazon germany, it's a "13-RQ0278E" "01A" device!

I used it now for 2 days, or at leat I tried! Reverse camera is mirrored and I don't have a option in my settings to mirror the image.

Second and much bigger problem: after approximately 30minutes of driving with google maps and media player in the background, the device shouts down because of overheating. After it starts again GPS is not fixing! Only 2-3 satelites are showing. When I completely reboot the device, GPS fix is withing 30 sek!

Hi,
For the reverse mirror problem,you can find the option referring to the following picture.Sometimes it may names reverse camara on/off since the translate cause.

The GPS may have a fix problem when the unit overheating. We are tring to solve it.
Once we got the solution,we will public it on the noticement board of the forum.Hope your kind understanding.

For the app icon duplicate itself problem,now you can flash the new firmware and MCU to solve it.

You need to download both two files on the root content of the sd card.Then insert into the GPS slot.after that,enter into settings--about device---system update.After finish the system update,do MCU update.
