Hello,
I have the RQ0278E unit (Order 500001639), and today I tried installing a SIM card. Unfortunately, the unit showed no sim card installed in the Android GUI. I double checked the wiring.
Could you suggest, what's wrong? Probably cable fault? Or a FW/SW update is needed?

Hi,
Please first confirm the format of the sim card is WCDMA .The unit onlt support this format.
Then,please notice the size of the card,positive and negative side of the card shoule suit the card slot.

Confirming:
* The SIM card is WCDMA
* The size is micro sim
* The polarity is good (there is only one way to insert, pictured on the slot)

Hi,
Normally,after you insert the sim card,wait for few minutes and then the unit will display a 3g icon.
You can try to insert the sim card to the smart phone to check whether can search the internet.
If this doesn't help,you can contact the customer service to change a new 3g modem wire.

So, let's summarize: you are saying that it can't be SW or FW issue, but only cable failure. Right?

Got replacement cable through the customer support. Now the 3G is working.
