Hi,
Just recently i've received the CN01-02202B-01B unit, installed without many issues. But the steering control functions are not functioning. I have a Honda Civic 1.8 sport 2006 and i'm using the steering control unit i received with my frame: http://www.schlauer-shop24.de/epages/61 ... ucts/HO-14
All control functions like temperature, airco and climate control are working (run through this blue box). The wires KEY1 and KEY2 are connected as well as the GND line.
I have opened the steering control app to learn in the functions, pressed START then VOL UP and corresponding buttons and so on to learn in the different functions. But when using the controls with the radio app, or any other app, i only get 1 function, for example Volume UP, no matter which button i press... The app seems not be able to determine which button is pressed?
Is there a solution to this? Another steering control app?
Thanks in advance anyone,
Greetings Tim

Hi,
sorry ,i also don't know why your unit behave like this.We don't use canbus and test all steering wheel control function and don't find any problem.
You can refer to the following video to study steering wheel control.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlIm5FT67pw
You can also show me an video about how you study steering wheel contol originally including the connection of the canbus.

Re: CN01-02202B steering control issue
Hi!
Thanks for quick reply, i've watched the video you posted. I noted that the software seen in this video is different than the software that is installed in my unit. maybe this can be the issue?
Anyhow, i've recorded a video for you as how i connected the unit to the steering control adapter and how i learn in the controls:
https://youtu.be/IlJJQ0KzjjM
As you can see i can learn in the controls but the only function i (sometimes get) is volume UP?
ps. if required my order number is: 500002438 (ordered through german Autopumpkin.de)
Thanks in advance!
Regards
Tim

Re: CN01-02202B steering control issue
Hi,
it is the canbus problem. Normally, the unit can directly connect to the steering wheel control cables without can bus.
If you don't know how to directly connect, you can take a clear picture of your original connector, especially the wires to us.

Re: CN01-02202B steering control issue
Hi Jammy,
Thanks for the tip, after your message i did some investigation on the wiring and found i could indeed connect it straight to the wiring going to the steering controls. And it worked! Only issue is i cannot change the date/time on the car display without rewiring the controls to the connects2 canbus decoder. Might be able to install a switch on the wiring to choose between canbus and radio, but that would be a future project.
For Honda 2006-2011 owners, you need to connect these wires:
Black wire = GND
Red/purple wire = KEY1
Thanks for your help!

Tim
