How to make Vokswagen Sound System with 8 Speakers work

Hello,

I have purchased the following unit from your store on Amazon:

My car (VW Tiguan 5N 2013) has 8 speakers, 4 on front doors and 4 on back doors (pics at the end of the post). They were all working very good with the original stereo unit RNS-315 . Only 3 cables were attached to the original RNS-315:
- GPS cable (blue)
- One Radio cable with two heads
- Quadlock cable

I have connected your unit exactly the same way. Only my car's GPS cable didn't fit and needed an extra fakra adapter (extra purchased). Now the problem is: The audio (music, radio..etc) comes only from 4 speakers (2 upper front and back). The pre-installed application "amplifier" shows only 4 speakers also. Can you please tell me how to make all the original 8 speakers work since they were working with the old original unit RNS-315? I have no Dynaudio. It is VW Sound System.

Hi,
You only need to insert the speaker conector into the unit and the 8 speaker can work normally.

Thanks for the answer. Which speaker connector? Only the 3 cables above were connected to the original RNS-315, no extra speaker connector. Can you show me a picture or point it out in the pictures I posted above?

Hi,
you need to insert the Quadlock cable into the regarding rear connector of the unit.

Hello, thanks for the pics. Of course the quadlock cable was connected otherwise it wouldn't have been possible for me to tell you that 4 speakers only work. So the quadlock is connected but your unit powers only 4 speakers at a time. Could it be the DIP switch at the back? I have set all pins to off (down position).

sorry for misunderstand you.
Our unit has 4 channel audio out put like your original stereo RNS-315.Are you sure your original stereo can control 8 speakers?

Hello, as shown in the pictures above my car has 2 speakers (small and bigger one) on each door => 8 speakers. Here is a video of a car that is like mine:

In the video description one can see:
"RNS 315 touch screen navigation with radio/MP3 compatible CD player 8 speakers + aux-in"

That is exactly what I have (this is not Dynaudio). I think there is something different in your unit than the RNS-315 regarding frequency distribution ( i am not an expert here).
