Pumpkin 11-RQ0276E Screen dim when Car Lights ON

Hello forum

I would like the screen to dim when my car lights turn on. I've checked the ORANGE Illumination Cable appears to be connected end-to-end (from the car harness to the Stereo unit). I understand that there are software out there that can dim automatically based on the time, but that's a potential plan B.

Hi,
you can enter the factory setting----other,and cancel check the key light,and reboot the unit.

Hi Jammy, thanks for your reply. I have tried that and it simply turns off the soft buttons on the left. No lights and no light dimming.

Just to clarify, I want the screen to dim at night so when the car lights are on, the screen brightness is low.

Hi,
you need to connect the orange wire of the ISO cable which labeled "ILL" to the positive pole of the car light.

Ok, I will double check that I have connected the orange cable correctly.
