Hi my touch screen has gone wrong and keeps changing things on its own, i have tried a master reset and it is still happening making the unit useless

I have contacted customer services but have not had a reply, i have found the problem
the bottom of the unit has been rubbing the metal bracket that was supplied to hold the heater controls and it has rubbed through the digitiser cable.

The stereo is fitted in a BMW E90 and you supply a metal bracket to relocate the heater controls, the digitiser cable is located at the bottom of the screen and has been rubbing on this metal bracket and has broken it
