Call contact by speech command

Hi,

I wondered if it is possible with head unit CN03-03101B-01A-DE to press a key and say "Call Karen Smith" to dial the number of Karen Smith.

What works, is:
* install a phone app
* sync your google contacts to the head unit
* put the google widget on desktop
* press the mic icon on the widget
* say "Call Karen Smith"
... and it will call Karen Smith. The downside of this approach is, that it will dial via the SIM card installed in the head unit, and no one of my friends and relatives would know that I am calling because they don't know the number of this SIM card.

Is there a way to:
* use speech dial in the HFP phone app, by accessing the contacts downloaded from the phone, such that actually my phone will make the call?
or
* trigger the phone's google assistant to dial the contacts on the phone, such that the call is initiated on the phone?

Hi,
the unit RQ0278 itself don't support dial the connect person via voice.
For HFP phone app, as a third party app,we don't test it.But you can have a try .
We would be appreciate if you can tell me the resoult.

you call my unit RQ0278? Where can I find this string on my unit to see that we talk about the same unit?

Well, as you told me in another thread, there seem to be no HFP apps on the market - I wouldn't know where to get an HFP app.
Is your vendor, who originally makes these units, capable of enhancing the app? Voice dial isn't a cutting edge feature anymore and should be standard on such a device.

Hi,
the unit CN03-03101B has the same system with the unit RQ0278.
For the voice dial problem,for this function need hardware support,so the unit don't support voice dial.

what kind of hardware support is the unit missing?
It has an internal microphone!

I can also use Google's voice assistant for searching the internet - for voice dialing, the only thing I would only miss a button, but that could be activated by touch screen also...

Hi,
the unit support sync contacts which are restored in the phone not the SIM card.
Regarding your problem,could you mind show us a video directly? An video is very helpful for us to find the key problem.

Hi, I wil try to make a video.
I know I can sync phone contacts, by my point of view is:
My phone has google contacts sync. I should be able to have google contacts in the head unit. In that way I could dial any contact from speech through Google now.

Meanwhile, I am not able to reset factory defaults. Can you give me the code? I have tried 1617,126,888888,123456... None of them work. Also I would thank the latestes fw and mcu.
