Hi,
I'm very happy with my Pumpkin head unit, but I have some problems with the WLAN connection. I have a 3G to WLAN router (Teltonica RUT104) in my car and the pumpkin unit uses it to get on the ethernet. When it works it's great and fast. Problem is that sometimes it won't connect without removing the connection and reconnecting.
The Teltonica also has an ethernet port so it would be great to bypass WLAN and just use an ethernet cable to connect. There are many USB ethernet adapters available and some claim Android support.
Example:

Do you know if an adapter like this will work on my Pumpkin and is there any brand of USB Ethernet adapter that you have had experience with?
Best regards,
Xenna

Re: Android USB ethernet adapter
Hi there
Thank you for your message!
But I'm sorry that this won't work, as the USB adater is even require to install driver into system, and the android system do not have that ability and option to do that.
Regards!

In this case you're wrong Andy. This one works http://plugable.com/products/usb2-e1000
Re: Android USB ethernet adapter
The only thing is that I've only tested it on the rear USB not the front. Else, nada, just plug it in.
Re: Android USB ethernet adapter
No problem. Your turn next time. Don't forget to turn off WiFi or else I believe
it will take priority.

Re: Android USB ethernet adapter
I received the http://plugable.com/products/usb2-e1000 usb/ethernet adapter yesterday and I can confirm it works without problems. Just plug and play.
