I recently bought a 11-RQ0264-US-A for my 2003 avalanche. Overall the unit works great, however I had a couple of questions regarding certain aspects of the stereo.

First off the screen seems a bit dark, I have checked to verify that the illumination wire is not on and can verify that the buttons are not lit. I did notice that when I do turn on the car lights the button colors are way off. In order for them to show white I had to select pink in the settings almost as if the voltage to the unit was low.

Second thing was that the unit seems to boot up twice each time I start the car, which causes the memory of what I was doing (the fact that I was playing music and what track) to be cleared. Once I select music the track continues from where it left off but I didn't have the problem when I first installed it and only noticed this after changing the car make boot logo.

Lastly I was excited about the 5.1 update since the one in my Audi is 4.4.4, however I have found that I like the 4.4.4 home screens and launcher better because I can remove the clock and radio widgets as well as have icon to my most used applications, Is there a way to flash the 4.4.4 firmware or launcher onto this unit?

Hi, the screen lightness is factory default design, if you adjust lightness level to full, the unit can be used with no problem.
For the second issue, could you please restore the factory settings and press the RST hole to check if the unit memory works as it should?
If possible, the video about the unit booting up twice would be appreciated.
There may be a way to flash the android 4.4.4 firmware onto this android 5.1.1 unit, but this may cause irreparable damage on system.

Hi, I allready have an issue of booting the head unit twice, I've found it happens when an OBDII adapter is paired with head unit (in Bluetooth settings). The adapter might be extracted from OBDII port, but this does not unpair it from the head unit. If I manually unpair the adapter in Bluetooth settings (the device is not in list of paired devices) - the unit starts normally, no an extra reboot.

Hi, according to your video shown, maybe the OBD bluetooth adapter you bought has a little compatible problem with our unit.
Could you please tell us if you used our preinstalled Torque app for OBD bluetooth?
You can also use another OBD2 bluetooth adapter to check.

I use Torque installed from Play Market, Pro version.
I've tried a Vgate iCar III OBDII adapter, it is not recognized as an OBD adapter.
I'll try another OBD adapter, but it seems it's not the adapter problem, but a OBD library bug (bin/sdobdsdk)

I have another problem the button home is like touch, recently got the radio, like 1 month ago and I never fell or anything but since I bought felt the button home felt different back button but now button this home as if it were touch and I think that is causing me the low performance on the radio any suggestions?
